A man who survived the fall of his world
Obi-Wan guards the secret of Luke on Tatooine, but he is no longer the confident general of the Republic years. The loss of the Order, Anakin's fate and the need to hide his abilities have narrowed his life to a small set of daily duties. He has to stay close to the boy without drawing attention to the Lars family. The series opens on this contradiction: a Jedi's readiness to help could give away the hiding place, while refusing to help at all means slowly abandoning the very thing he survived the catastrophe for.
The hunt and the rescue network
A request from an old ally from the days of the Republic makes Obi-Wan leave Tatooine. Inquisitors pick up his trail; for them, tracking down surviving Jedi is both a tool of Imperial control and a path to personal advancement. At the same time he meets people who set up safe passages, new identities and hiding places for the hunted. The Hidden Path exists because ordinary members take risks: Jedi skills alone are not enough to lead everyone to freedom. The network presents early resistance as practical mutual aid, long before the Alliance's major victories and open fleet actions.
Returning to the role of mentor
Obi-Wan's main test is whether he can trust himself again after a mistake he sees as the defining one of his life. Caring for another person forces him to act, improvise and rely on the Force once more. The series is set ten years after "Revenge of the Sith", so its emotional foundation is the prequels and his former friendship with Anakin. Nine years remain before "A New Hope". What matters in this interval is the gradual return of his ability to support a new generation without demanding that it repair the entire past.

Under Imperial Rule
The new regime inherits the Republic's army and institutions but gradually changes the rules of everyday life. Clones look for a place after the war, Jedi hide their past, and smugglers work between the interests of the syndicates and the Empire. Resistance has no single center yet. Its early forms grow out of concrete needs: helping a fugitive, protecting a child, guiding the persecuted to safety or refusing to carry out a criminal order.

The child Obi-Wan rescues is Leia. During the chase he learns that Anakin survived Mustafar and became Darth Vader in the familiar black armor. Their new duel forces Obi-Wan to separate his own guilt from his former apprentice's choices. Reva also turns out to be a victim of Order 66, and her thirst for revenge has led her to serve alongside those responsible for the tragedy.
It is Bail Organa, the girl's adoptive father, who asks Obi-Wan for help.
