The Clone Wars
Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and the clone troopers fight the Separatists. The 133 episodes and the feature film that opens the story fill in the events between Episodes II and III. The series gives the clones individual characters, follows Ahsoka as she grows up and shows how a long war changes an Order that was meant to protect the peace.

About this story
A war the films show only at the start and the end
Three years pass between "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith", during which the Jedi become generals and the conflict spreads to dozens of worlds. The series gives those years their own substance. Republic victories do not always mean well-being for the local population; liberating a planet can leave behind hunger, destruction and arguments over who governs next. Alongside frontline operations, the show covers Senate politics, neutral systems, criminal syndicates and the consequences of military decisions. As a result, the galaxy no longer looks like a stage where only a few leading Jedi compete.
Ahsoka and the clones as characters in their own right
Anakin's Padawan Ahsoka Tano starts out full of enthusiasm and eager to prove what she can do. Responsibility for the troops under her, losses and disagreements with her mentors force her to rethink ready-made answers. At the same time, the clones get names, habits and different attitudes toward their service. Rex, Cody and other soldiers may come from the same genetic template, but they live through the war as distinct people. Their friendship with the Jedi is especially important for understanding the coming catastrophe: political orders will eventually break into relationships built over years of shared risk and trust.
How not to get lost between the arcs
The series is made up of short stories and arcs, so release order does not always match the chronology. The official list helps put the episodes and the feature-length opening in sequence. The Mandalorian arcs explain the political legacy that matters for "The Mandalorian", and Ahsoka's story leads to "Rebels" and her own series. Mystical storylines, Mortis among them, explore a different level of ideas about the Force. The final arc takes place alongside the events of Episode III, so it is best seen as another perspective on a shared catastrophe rather than a separate prologue to the film.
Route context
Last Days of the Order
The blockade of Naboo exposes weaknesses in Republic politics, and the Separatist crisis later turns them into a galactic war. The Jedi become commanders of a clone army, the Senate grants the Chancellor emergency powers, and Anakin tries to reconcile his training with his fear for the people he loves. The films tell the central tragedy, while animation and games add the experience of soldiers, apprentices and ordinary people whose fates are decided by large-scale military choices.

The charges against Ahsoka and the Council's decisions destroy her trust in the Order. Even after the truth comes out, she refuses to return to her old life. Later, the Siege of Mandalore overlaps in time with Order 66, and Rex's story shows how the chips affect the clones' behavior. The ending turns an event familiar from the film into a personal tragedy for people the audience has followed through the whole series.
